The Doctor was in an odd mood. He ran for and back in the TARDIS, shouting and sending things flying. Amy sat on the stairs and looked with pity on him. She grimaced when he turned and pointing a finger neared her.
'I know it's here! You can't hide it from me forever! I'll find it, understood?'
She let out a heavy breath.
'To be honest, I still don't exactly know what you are talking about...'
He stopped and turned and let out a frustrated cry.
'I know it's here, you shall not lie.'
She rolled her eyes and stood up.
'Well, then go and find it, whatever it is. I'll be in my bedroom.'
She turned and climbed up the stairs. He spinned around.
'Fine! Let's shun and don't come back! I know you know what I'm looking for, but I'll find it on myself! Hah!' he threw after her. She pulled her eyebrows but didn't deign him to answer just shook her head and continued pacing towards her room. She couldn't handle him when he went off his head. She just hoped something would return him to reason.
The Doctor continued shouting and shinning around, things flying in his way. Last time when he got crazy, River came and the whole thing went worse. It was after the Byzantium, but she did not know anything about it. Amy was confused. The Doctor was speaking gibberish, running for and back, just like today. The only difference was that then River came, said something, the Doctor shouted at her, she smiled, he got more frustrated, she winked at him, and disappeared. Then after a few minuits shouting and shinning around he calmed, and became as he was: cheer and jumpy and more sensible. Amy didn't think it made anything connection to her. Now – now it was a bit others. They met River once again, in a bar, in space, and they were absolutely odd with each other. They spoke gibberish to her, shore flirty glances and pecked at each other. Like old spouses, she always thought. She wondered why never he admitted that.
A short flash, and River stood in the control room her eyes rolling.
'What the hell are you doing again?!' she paced towards the Doctor. He pointed a finger at her and with set teeth hissed at her.
'I'm not your friend, not second best, I'm just a boy, you're just a girl. What do you want?!'
She sighed and rolled her eyes.
'You took an other from that capsule again, didn't you?'
He turned his back and started to pace in the other direction.
'I know it's here! She hidded it from me, but I know it's here somewhere. Don't you think you can be smarten than I, not any of you! I'll find it!' he threw things away from his way. She shook her head and crossed her arms.
'I'm sure Amy doesn't know what are you looking for, I would be surprised if she'd know what emotion capsules are. But you should be wiser than take stimulators like that one. It is designed for humans, Sweetie, not for Time Lords. Your brain doesn't recognize it as happiness-hormones, it just make you disaffected and agry. It's how your system react on it.'
He turned and looked at her like he could kill with a gaze.
'I got it from a noble princess of the Fremateringa.' he hissed.
'I know, Sweetie, but she thought you were human! However, how many did you get from her?'
'Two.' he threw at her with disgust.
'Then, be honest: what are you looking for? You took both.' she rolled her eyes. He stopped.
'I'll send you home unless... Unless you are both in together.' he neared her as a predator nears his prey. She sighed heavily and took a step closer.
'You are ill, you should have to lay down.'
'Lay down? With you, heh? You're all doing this around the world, humans! That's my kind of party, I tell you, hah!' he spinned around and threw a doll at the wall angrily. She couldn't do anything but frown and laugh and sigh with pity. He was funny when he was out of mind.
'You want me then, huh?' she asked then with a hint of flirt.
'Yeey, that's what I'm telling you woman! I know you wanna turn me on, but noo, you won't, I swear on anything!' he threw his arms wide. She laughed know heartily.
'Huh! Laugh at me, yes! That's how it works!' he lowered his voice. 'But I know what you are up to. You want my capsules! Hah! I am right, am I not?' he cried aloud.
Amy hurried on the corridor towards the control room. She stopped when she caught sight on River.
'Thanks God you're here, River. He's doing this about an hour, I couldn't do anything!' she said desperately. She smiled and nodded.
'Hah! I knew it! You planned it together! Women...' he said it with disgust. The women rolled their eyes.
'Now, Sweetie, you have to calm.'
'Calm?! I'm calmer than the Pacific Ocean!' he shouted at her.
'Yes you are Sweetie.' she sighed. 'I will leave now, Amy will stay. You'll be okay in ten minuits, but promise me you won't send her away beside you. She's a good girl, listen to her.'
'You are not my mum!' he popped.
'No' she smiled flirtingly. 'but maybe I will.' she winked at him. He freezed.
'Bye, Honey!' she waved and turned to Amy. 'Take care for him. the next ten minuits will be hart.' she grimaced guiltily. She nodded – she remembered the last time.
'Goodbye then.' the blond said and with a flash she disappeared. Amy sat down on the stairs. The Doctor threw his arms about and fumed. He used a language Amy did not understood but supposed to be Gallifreyan. She grimaced and choked her chin with her arm in her lap. She counted the minuits after her leave. She sighed and looked at her watch. It was just a minuit left.
The Doctor suddenly stopped with everything. His face freezed and Amy knew it was over. He caught her eye and counted to five – and remembered everybody dies.
'River...' he whispered.
'Nope, it's Amy.' She raised on her legs. 'But good to know you're back with us.'
He blinked and shook his head.
'I'm sorry...' he looked confused. 'Was River here? It seems my memories are foggy a bit.'
'Yep, she was. I don't know how she does it...' she frowned.
'What?' he frowned too.
'She calms you easily. I wonder if it's because she'll be your wife, or she has magical skills.'
He frowned harder.
'Don't get complicated. She's just a woman. And she's not my wife.'
She rolled her eyes.
'Of course she isn't. I never said she is.'
He nodded.
'I said she will be.' she smiled victorially. He rolled his eyes and turned his back.
'So where now? A good lunch at Dinnery Garden, or something andventurous?' he started to push buttons.
'I don't now. Be your choise.' she smiled. She got him back, her raggedy Doctor, with his funs and secrets – and all his disaffirmations of evidence.
